Legislative Research Refresher Online
In this one-hour group tutorial, review the fundamentals of legislative research with one of our law librarians. Topics include an overview of the legislative process at both the Ontario and Federal levels, a look at useful time-saving tools, and a live demonstration of common legislative research tasks like:
- tracing the amendment history of a statute
- searching Hansard online
- discovering legislative intent
We will also review the use of print and online sources such as e-Laws, Justice Laws, and HeinOnline.
This program contains 1 professionalism hour.
Only licensees, licensing candidates (including NCA), and individuals employed by licensees are eligible to register.
